Our story takes us back to 1992, to a humble town in North Texas called Denton. It was here that a man named Marcus Watson had a simple dream, and together with a few buddies and a couple of Toyota pickups, the rich legacy that is Little Guys Movers began...

The San Marcos location has the honored distinction of being the first Little Guys store outside of Denton. It was the blistering summer of 1997, and Little Guys had enjoyed a particularly robust few months of sales. Upon finally falling into their beds after hours of hauling other people’s possessions, Marcus and his partners would drift off to sleep at night only to be bothered with wild, fever dreams -- dreams of expanding their adventure in the moving business to other locations. Some say it was the Texas heat finally getting to them, but they simply couldn’t quell the question of “What if?”

They chose San Marcos, the crown jewel of Texas’s Hill Country, as the place to open their second store based on the opinion that it was so much like Denton. The boys felt right at home in this beautiful city and by October the shop was off and running. Within months it proved to be a success, both financially and as an experiment in growing the business, thanks in part to the determination and leadership skills of the store’s original pioneers. Because of the groundwork they laid, we have been motivated to continue expanding ever since.
